Restaurant Associate – Counter, POS & Service

We are looking for a friendly and responsible Restaurant Associate to join our team at Sankalp – The Taste of South, Sector 83, Gurugram.

This is a multi-functional restaurant role covering counter operations, POS billing, order management and dine-in customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Take customer orders at the counter and dine-in tables

• Operate the POS/billing system and generate accurate bills

• Handle cash, UPI and card payments

• Coordinate with the kitchen for timely order preparation

• Serve food to dine-in customers

• Pack takeaway and online delivery orders accurately

• Manage and verify Swiggy/Zomato orders

• Hand over orders to customers and delivery partners

• Answer basic customer questions about menu items and offers

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter and dining area

• Support the restaurant team during busy hours

What We’re Looking For

• 0–3 years of experience

• Freshers with a good attitude are welcome to apply

• Restaurant, QSR or café experience preferred

• POS/billing experience is an advantage

• Comfortable handling cash and digital payments

• Basic smartphone/computer knowledge

• Good customer-service and communication skills

• Punctual, responsible and presentable

• Able to multitask and work efficiently during peak hours

Responsibilities

Take dine-in, takeaway and counter orders.

Operate the POS system and generate accurate bills.

Handle cash, UPI and card payments.

Coordinate with the kitchen for timely order preparation.

Serve food and assist dine-in customers.

Pack takeaway and online-delivery orders accurately.

Manage and verify Swiggy/Zomato orders.

Hand over orders to customers and delivery partners.

Answer customer queries about menu items, offers and availability.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter and dining area.

Track pending orders and ensure timely service.

Support other front-of-house restaurant operations during busy hours.

Requirements

• 1 - 3 years of experience in a restaurant, QSR, café or similar customer-facing role preferred.

• Freshers with the right attitude and willingness to learn can also apply.

• Comfortable using POS/billing systems, smartphones and online-order apps.

• Able to handle cash, UPI and card payments responsibly.

• Good communication and customer-service skills. Presentable, punctual, honest and dependable.

• Comfortable multitasking across counter, billing, packing and dine-in service.

• Able to work efficiently during peak restaurant hours.

• Willing to work on-site and as part of a restaurant operations team.

Qualifications

Minimum 10th / 12th pass preferred.

Basic reading, writing and numerical skills.

Basic computer/smartphone knowledge.

Prior POS, cashier, restaurant or food-service experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Ability to communicate in Hindi; basic English communication is an advantage.
