Key Responsibilities & Duties

Patient Monitoring: Continuously track infant vital signs, oxygen saturation levels, and neurological functions to detect early signs of distress or deterioration.

Clinical Procedures

Administer precise medications, manage intravenous (IV) lines, draw blood, and assist with tube or specialized feedings.

Equipment Operation

Set up, monitor, and adjust advanced neonatal technology, including incubators, ventilators, and phototherapy lights.

Collaborative Care: Work closely with neonatologists, pediatric specialists, respiratory therapists, and social workers to build and update individualized care plans.

Family Support & Education

Guide parents on basic infant care (feeding, swaddling, holding) and offer compassionate emotional support.

Documentation

Accurately record medical histories, hourly changes, treatments, and infant developmental progress.
