Electronics Production Engineer – SMT & Through-Hole PCB Assembly

Job description

We are looking for a skilled PCB SMT and Thru-Hole Soldering Engineer / Technician to join our team. The role involves assembling, soldering, and inspecting PCB assemblies to meet high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform SMT (Surface Mount Technology) & Thru-Hole component soldering on PCB assemblies.

Operate soldering tools, hot air rework stations, and inspection microscopes.

Read and interpret assembly drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.

Perform manual placement, soldering, and rework of fine-pitch components (SMD, QFN, BGA preferred).

Inspect solder joints to ensure compliance with IPC standards.

Coordinate with production and QC teams to resolve assembly issues.

Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of ESD-sensitive components.

Requirements

ITI / Diploma in Electronics or similar (preferred).

1-4 years of hands-on experience in PCB soldering (SMT & thru-hole).

Good understanding of electronic components and PCB layouts.

Ability to work with magnifiers / microscopes for fine-pitch soldering.

Knowledge of IPC soldering standards (IPC-A-610) is a plus.

Languages Known

Basic English & Tamil.
