Resident Medical Officer – Maternity (OBGY)

K.J. Somaiya Hospital & Research Centre, a 550-bedded medical college and hospital in Sion, Mumbai, is hiring Resident Medical Officers for its Maternity Ward (Obstetrics & Gynaecology).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage admitted antenatal, postnatal and gynaecology patients in the maternity ward
• Monitor patients in labour and assist consultants during normal deliveries and LSCS
• Handle obstetric and gynaecological emergencies and escalate to consultants on time
• Carry out daily ward rounds and follow the treatment plans set by consultants
• Maintain accurate case records, admission and discharge summaries
• Counsel patients and relatives on treatment and care
• Coordinate with nursing staff, NICU and other departments for patient care

Requirements

• MBBS with experience in OBGY / Maternity (preferred)
• BAMS / BHMS with hands-on gynaecology and maternity experience will also be considered
• Valid registration with the respective Maharashtra council (MMC / MCIM / MCH)
• Prior experience in a hospital maternity or OBGY department is essential
• Ability to handle emergencies and work under pressure
• Willingness to work rotational shifts is mandatory
