Solar technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and hardworking Solar Installer / Technician to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of solar PV systems at residential, commercial, and industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission solar PV systems as per technical specifications and safety standards.
• Install solar panels, mounting structures, inverters, cables, junction boxes, and other related equipment.
• Perform electrical wiring, cable termination, earthing, and connection work.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of solar systems and electrical components.
• Identify and resolve installation and technical issues at project sites.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of installed solar systems.
• Ensure proper alignment, mounting, and secure installation of solar panels.
• Follow electrical safety procedures and use appropriate tools and safety equipment.
• Coordinate with the project/operations team to complete installations within the required timelines.
• Maintain installation records, site reports, and basic documentation.
• Travel to customer/project sites as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or a related technical field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in solar installation, electrical work, or related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, electrical wiring, and electrical components.
• Ability to use basic electrical tools and testing equipment.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and comfortable working at project sites and heights.
• Willingness to travel to different installation sites.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with rooftop solar installation.
• Knowledge of DC/AC connections, earthing, and protection systems.
• Familiarity with different types of solar inverters and mounting structures.
• Basic understanding of electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Pay

₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
