About the Role
Right Gold is looking for a qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) to manage and oversee the company's financial, taxation, accounting and statutory compliance functions.
The candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring timely statutory compliance, monitoring financial controls and providing financial insights to management.
Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Financial Management
Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial transactions.
Review and supervise books of accounts, ledgers and financial records.
Ensure proper accounting of sales, purchases, expenses, receipts and payments.
Review bank reconciliation, vendor reconciliation and customer outstanding.
Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing.
Monitor cash flow, working capital and overall financial position.
GST & Taxation
Ensure timely preparation and filing of GST returns.
Review GST input/output reconciliation and compliance.
Handle TDS calculation, payments and returns.
Manage income tax-related compliance, assessments and filings.
Ensure proper tax planning and compliance within applicable laws.
Coordinate with tax authorities and consultants whenever required.
Statutory Compliance
Ensure compliance with applicable financial and taxation laws.
Monitor statutory payment and filing deadlines.
Maintain proper documentation for statutory compliance.
Coordinate for statutory, internal and tax audits.
Handle notices and queries from tax/statutory authorities.
Audit & Financial Reporting
Coordinate with internal, statutory and tax auditors.
Prepare and review financial statements and schedules.
Provide required documents and explanations during audits.
Identify accounting discrepancies and ensure timely rectification.
Maintain proper audit trails and supporting documentation.
Jewellery Business Accounting
Review accounting of gold, diamond, silver and jewellery purchases and sales.
Monitor stock-related accounting and reconciliation with inventory records.
Review purchase invoices, sales invoices and credit/debit notes.
Coordinate with the Purchase, Sales and Accounts teams for financial accuracy.
Monitor high-value transactions and ensure proper documentation as per applicable requirements.
Payroll & Employee-Related Finance Coordination
Review payroll calculations and statutory deductions in coordination with HR and Accounts.
Ensure accurate accounting of salary, PF, ESI, TDS and other applicable deductions.
Coordinate with HR for payroll-related financial requirements.
MIS & Management Reporting
Prepare monthly MIS and financial reports for management.
Provide analysis of sales, expenses, profitability, receivables and payables.
Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial projections.
Highlight financial risks, discrepancies and areas requiring management attention.
Provide financial insights to support business decisions.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
Establish and monitor financial controls and accounting procedures.
Identify financial discrepancies, control gaps and potential risks.
Improve accounting and reporting processes.
Ensure proper authorization and documentation of financial transactions.
Monitor compliance with company financial policies.
Team Coordination
Supervise and guide the Accounts team.
Coordinate with Management, HR, Purchase, Sales and other departments on financial matters.
Review work performed by the Accounts team and ensure accuracy.
Support the team in resolving accounting and taxation issues.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAI.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, GST and statutory compliance.
Experience in retail, jewellery or similar inventory-intensive business will be preferred.
Strong knowledge of Tally/ERP and MS Excel/Google Sheets.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and management skills.
Ability to work independently and handle confidential financial information.
