About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented GIS Trainee to join our GIS team. The candidate will work on GIS mapping, digitization, spatial data handling, drawing preparation and other geospatial activities under the guidance of senior team members.

This position is suitable for freshers who have knowledge of GIS software and are interested in building a career in the Geospatial/GIS domain.

Key Responsibilities

Perform GIS data creation, editing and digitization.

Work on QGIS and ArcGIS/ArcGIS Pro for mapping and spatial data processing.

Prepare and edit drawings using AutoCAD.

Use Google Earth/Google Earth Pro for location verification and data reference.

Handle and maintain GIS datasets and spatial information.

Perform basic spatial analysis and map preparation.

Convert, edit and manage GIS-related data in different formats.

Assist senior GIS team members in project-related tasks.

Ensure accuracy and quality of GIS data and maps.

Complete assigned tasks within project timelines.

Required Skills

Knowledge of QGIS.

Knowledge of ArcGIS / ArcGIS Pro.

Knowledge of AutoCAD is required.

Knowledge of Google Earth / Google Earth Pro.

Basic understanding of GIS concepts, mapping and digitization.

Basic understanding of coordinate systems and projections.

Knowledge of GIS data formats such as Shapefile, KML/KMZ, GeoJSON, etc. will be an advantage.

Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Basic computer and MS Office knowledge.
