Company Driver

• Carry out authorised staff, field-team and material movements according to the assigned duty plan.
• Check tyres, oil, coolant, lights, brakes, wipers, fuel and visible vehicle condition before duty, and report defects before travel.
• Plan practical routes using maps and traffic information, and communicate delays or arrival estimates to the coordinating team.
• Assist with safe loading and unloading of permitted materials, splicing machines, OTDR equipment and tool kits, securing them against damage.
• Follow traffic, parking and passenger-safety rules; avoid overloading, unsafe driving and unauthorised vehicle use.
• Maintain the vehicle logbook, odometer readings, journey details, fuel entries and supporting receipts accurately.
• Complete assigned vehicle and movement checklists in the approved system, without using the phone while driving.
• Keep the vehicle clean and check availability of the prescribed first-aid kit, emergency items and required vehicle documents.
• Coordinate servicing, repairs and renewal reminders with Admin, and hand over vehicle defects or pending work between drivers.
• Report accidents, breakdowns, traffic notices, fatigue or other safety concerns promptly and follow the approved assistance procedure.
