Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Purchase Executive to manage the procurement of materials, equipment, products, and services required for smooth business operations. The role involves vendor coordination, price negotiation, purchase order management, inventory coordination, and ensuring timely delivery of quality materials at competitive prices.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and delivery timelines.
Source materials, products, equipment, and services according to organizational requirements.
Obtain and compare quotations from multiple vendors.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial terms with suppliers.
Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation.
Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Coordinate with stores, inventory, accounts, production, and other departments regarding procurement requirements.
Monitor stock levels and initiate purchases based on approved requirements.
Verify received materials against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documents.
Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, quotations, invoices, vendor details, and procurement activities.
Develop and maintain good relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, quality discrepancies, damaged materials, and incorrect supplies.
Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Ensure procurement activities follow company policies, approval procedures, and applicable regulations.
Prepare regular purchase reports and provide updates to management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations.
Fresh graduates with relevant knowledge may also be considered for junior positions.
Good negotiation, communication, and vendor-management skills.
Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with ERP or procurement software is an advantage.
Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
