About the Role
SkillsNCR is looking for a confident, warm and responsible Telecalling & Customer Engagement Executive to speak with prospective students, parents and other enquiries.
This is not a typical call-centre role where success means making the maximum number of calls.
At SkillsNCR, our philosophy is
Diagnosis Before Prescription.
Your job is to understand why somebody contacted us, what problem they are actually trying to solve, whether SkillsNCR may be relevant, and what the correct next step should be.
Sometimes that next step may be a consultation.
Sometimes it may be a follow-up.
Sometimes we may conclude that the person is not the right fit.
We want honest conversations, not pressure selling.
What You Will Do
Your responsibilities may include
Calling new enquiries and leads received by SkillsNCR
Speaking with students, graduates and parents
Understanding why the person contacted us
Asking structured qualification questions
Explaining SkillsNCR clearly and confidently
Identifying whether the enquiry is genuinely relevant
Booking appropriate consultation or diagnostic conversations
Following up with interested prospects
Re-engaging leads who have not responded
Maintaining accurate call notes and lead status
Recording objections and customer questions
Updating the next action and follow-up date
Sharing recurring customer feedback with the team
Supporting WhatsApp/email follow-ups where required
Helping improve our calling scripts based on real customer conversations
What This Role Is NOT
We do not want someone who
reads a script mechanically;
pressures people into buying;
makes unrealistic promises;
tells every lead the same thing;
measures success only by number of calls made.
You should be able to listen first and speak second.
What We Are Looking For
You should be
comfortable speaking with new people;
confident on the phone;
polite but assertive;
comfortable speaking in both Hindi and English;
a good listener;
able to ask questions naturally;
organised with follow-ups;
comfortable using basic CRM/Excel/Google Sheets;
able to learn our services properly;
willing to take feedback and improve your conversations;
reliable about commitments and follow-ups.
Previous telecalling, counselling, admissions, customer-service, hospitality, sales or support experience can be useful.
However, freshers with strong communication skills can also apply.
The Kind of Conversation We Want
We don't want
“Sir/Ma'am, we have a course. Would you like to buy it?”
We want someone who can have a conversation like
“You had shown interest in SkillsNCR. Before I explain anything, may I understand what you're currently looking for and what problem you're trying to solve?”
Then listen.
Then ask the right questions.
Then explain only what is relevant.
Initial Areas You May Work OnGraduate / WorkReady
Speaking with graduates and job seekers to understand
what kind of role they are trying to get;
what applications/interviews they have already attempted;
where they believe they are getting stuck;
whether they are looking for capability development or simply expecting a job vacancy;
their practical availability and Gurugram fit;
whether a further fit/diagnostic discussion makes sense.
SchoolReady / Parent
As Parent enquiries grow, you may also speak with parents to understand
the child's current learning situation;
what concern prompted the enquiry;
what support the parent has already tried;
what outcome they are looking for;
whether a SkillsNCR consultation could be useful.
You will not diagnose the child yourself or make academic guarantees.
- Important
- What You Must Never Promise
You must never make claims such as
guaranteed job or placement;
guaranteed salary;
guaranteed marks or academic results;
guaranteed admission;
guaranteed seat or programme availability;
unapproved discounts;
refunds or commercial terms that have not been authorised.
If you do not know something, the correct response is
“Let me confirm that and come back to you.”
Accuracy matters more than pretending to know everything.
How We Will Measure Good Performance
We will not judge you only by call volume.
We will look at
leads contacted on time;
meaningful conversations;
quality of qualification;
consultations booked where appropriate;
follow-ups completed;
accuracy of CRM/call notes;
quality of customer information captured;
clarity and professionalism;
conversion through the funnel;
reasons prospects say yes, no or not now.
Who May Enjoy This Role
This may suit you if you enjoy
speaking with people;
understanding their problems;
helping someone make a decision;
customer service;
counselling;
sales conversations;
relationship building;
learning why customers behave the way they do.
It can be particularly relevant for someone wanting to develop skills in

SkillsNCR is an early-stage company currently validating its market and operating model.
