Critical Care Technologist

A Critical Care Technician (CCT) assists doctors and nurses in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) by providing direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, and supporting life-saving procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and record vital signs (BP, pulse, oxygen saturation, ECG)
• Assist in emergency procedures (CPR, intubation support)
• Operate and maintain ICU equipment (ventilators, monitors, defibrillators)
• Provide basic patient care (bathing, feeding, positioning)
• Collect samples (blood, urine) for laboratory testing
• Maintain infection control and hygiene standards
• Assist nurses and doctors during critical interventions
• Ensure proper documentation of patient records

Required Qualifications

• Diploma / Certificate in Critical Care Technology / ICU Technician
• BSc in allied health sciences (preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (added advantage)

• Basic knowledge of ICU equipment
• Good communication and teamwork
• Ability to work under pressure
• Attention to detail

• Minimum 6 months to 2 Years
