Job Summary
The Operations Executive in the holidays and travel sector is responsible for managing end-to-end travel operations, ensuring smooth execution of holiday packages, and enhancing customer satisfaction. This role involves handling itinerary planning, vendor coordination, client servicing, and problem resolution while optimizing efficiency and profitability.
Tour Operations & Coordination
Plan, design, and execute holiday packages (domestic and international).
Coordinate with airlines, hotels, transport providers, and local tour operators.
Ensure timely confirmations and seamless travel experiences for clients.
Handle visa processing, travel insurance, and documentation support.
Customer Service & Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients before, during, and after trips.
Address customer queries, concerns, and last-minute changes efficiently.
Manage complaints and provide quick resolutions to enhance client experience.
Vendor & Partner Management
Negotiate with hotels, transport companies, and activity providers for the best rates.
Develop long-term relationships with travel partners to ensure quality services.
Monitor vendor performance and compliance with service agreements.
Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement
Optimize travel processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and client preferences.
Stay updated on industry trends, pricing strategies, and new destinations.
Sales & Revenue Growth
Support the sales team in designing competitive holiday packages.
Upsell and cross-sell additional services (tours, experiences, upgrades).
Assist in marketing efforts by providing insights into customer preferences.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Management, or a related field.
- Experience
- 3+ years in travel operations, preferably in a senior role.
Skills
Strong knowledge of travel industry trends and destinations.
Experience with booking platforms and GDS (Amadeus, Galileo, etc.).
Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
Proficiency in MS Office and travel management software.
Work Environment & Schedule
Office-based with occasional travel for inspections and networking.
May require availability on weekends and holidays based on client needs.
