Chief Manager / Senior Manager – CommercialPosition Overview

This leadership role requires a professional who can effectively manage commercial operations, finance coordination, customer handling, and business strategy while working closely with the Director/CEO.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end commercial operations of the organization.
• Review and monitor P\&L, Balance Sheet, budgeting, profitability, cash flow, and overall financial performance in coordination with the Finance team.
• Develop and monitor commercial strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Handle key customer relationships, commercial negotiations, escalations, and disputes with senior customer stakeholders.
• Oversee billing, invoicing, receivables, commercial documentation, and contract-related activities.
• Monitor timely collection of outstanding receivables and support the team in resolving collection-related issues.
• Coordinate with Accounts \& Finance for GST, TDS, taxation, statutory requirements, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring timely availability of required documents and information.
• Ensure adherence to commercial policies, contractual obligations, statutory requirements, and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization, process improvement, and operational efficiency.
• Prepare and review MIS reports, dashboards, business performance reports, and management presentations.
• Analyze business performance and provide actionable insights to senior management.
• Coordinate with Accounts, Finance, HR, KAM, CSR, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure smooth business functioning.
• Lead, mentor, and develop commercial and cross-functional teams.
• Participate in senior-level business reviews and provide inputs for strategic decision-making.
• Support management in business planning, budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and commercial decision-making.
• Ensure effective contract management and minimize commercial and financial risks.
• Take ownership of critical commercial matters and ensure timely resolution.

Educational Qualifications

• MBA / M.Com– Finance
• CA Inter / CMA
• Equivalent qualification with relevant commercial and finance experience

Required Experience

• 10–18 years of relevant experience in Commercial, Finance, Operations, Business Management, or a similar leadership role.
• Strong experience in managing commercial operations in a structured organization.
• Experience in handling senior customers, commercial negotiations, disputes, receivables, and contracts.
• Experience working closely with senior management / Director / CEO.
• Candidates with experience in MHE, Rental, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering Services, Manufacturing, or B2B service industries will be preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of P\&L, Balance Sheet, budgeting, profitability, and financial performance.
• Strong knowledge of Commercial Operations and Contract Management.
• Good understanding of GST, TDS, taxation, and statutory compliance.
• Experience in Internal \& External Audit Coordination.
• Strong Customer Relationship Management and Dispute Resolution skills.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MIS reporting.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ERP is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and business negotiation skills.
