Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager / Up to Manager to lead mechanical maintenance operations at a tyre manufacturing plant. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment availability, minimizing downtime, improving machine reliability, and managing preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Management

• Lead and supervise all mechanical maintenance activities across the plant.
• Ensure optimum performance and reliability of production machinery.
• Plan and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.

Equipment Reliability \& Uptime

• Monitor equipment performance and minimize machine downtime.
• Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Drive initiatives for improved machine reliability and efficiency.

Breakdown \& Preventive Maintenance

• Ensure timely execution of preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major equipment failures.
• Maintain machine history and maintenance records.

Team Management

• Lead, guide, and supervise maintenance engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Allocate manpower and resources effectively.
• Conduct training and skill-development programs for the maintenance team.

Shutdown \& Project Execution

• Plan and execute plant shutdown maintenance activities.
• Support installation, commissioning, and upgradation of machinery.
• Coordinate with Production and other departments for smooth maintenance operations.

Spare Parts \& Inventory

• Ensure availability of critical spare parts and maintenance consumables.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels and control maintenance costs.

Safety \& Compliance

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and statutory requirements.
• Promote safe working practices within the maintenance team.
• Participate in safety audits and improvement initiatives.

Budget \& Cost Control

• Monitor maintenance expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support preparation and control of annual maintenance budgets.

Documentation \& Reporting

• Maintain maintenance reports, SOPs, inspection records, and equipment history.
• Prepare and present maintenance performance reports to senior management.

Candidate Requirements

• B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Candidates from Tyre, Rubber, Automotive, or Process Industries will be preferred.
