New York Burrito Company is a fast-growing Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brand known for fresh, authentic Mexican-inspired cuisine with a 100% vegetarian menu. We currently operate across 12 outlets in Mumbai and are expanding our operations into Bangalore.

We are looking for a Junior Chef with an interest in building a career in professional kitchen operations. The role will involve hands-on kitchen work, following our standardised recipes, ingredients, preparation methods and kitchen guidelines, and ensuring consistent execution of our products.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and work area.

Assist in daily kitchen operations and food preparation.

Follow standardised recipes, preparation methods and kitchen instructions.

Assist with cutting, chopping, slicing, portioning and other basic kitchen preparation.

Maintain proper portioning and consistency as instructed.

Handle ingredients properly and maintain cleanliness of the work area.

Follow food safety, hygiene and kitchen SOPs.

Assist senior kitchen team members during preparation and service.

willing to learn and develop skills across different areas of kitchen operations.

Candidate Profile

0–2 years of experience in a kitchen, QSR or restaurant environment.

Freshers with a culinary / hotel management background may also apply.

Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen activities.

Willingness to learn and follow standardised recipes, SOPs and instructions.

Good discipline, teamwork and willingness to learn.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
