Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Night Manager on Duty (MOD) to oversee hospital operations during the night shift. The person will be responsible for managing the front desk, patient and attendant coordination, night-time hospital operations, and resolution of operational issues while ensuring a smooth and professional experience for patients and their attendants.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and front-office management skills, with prior experience in hospital operations or a similar healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the Manager on Duty (MOD) and be the primary point of contact for operational matters during the night shift.
Manage and supervise the front desk/reception operations during the night.
Ensure smooth handling of patient admissions, discharges, transfers, enquiries, and attendant queries as applicable during the shift.
Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, security, housekeeping, billing, emergency, and other departments for smooth patient care and hospital operations.
Handle and resolve patient/attendant complaints and escalations professionally and promptly.
Monitor the overall hospital environment during the night and ensure that operational standards are maintained.
Coordinate with the concerned departments in case of emergency situations, incidents, or operational disruptions.
Maintain proper communication and escalation with senior management whenever required.
Ensure proper handover of pending issues and important updates to the morning/day shift team.
Monitor front-office documentation, registers, reports, and other relevant records.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, SOPs, safety protocols, and service standards.
Supervise front-office/support staff working during the night shift and ensure discipline and professional conduct.
Maintain a high standard of patient service, communication, confidentiality, and hospitality.
Prepare or review night-shift reports and highlight significant incidents or concerns to the concerned management.
Required Experience & Qualifications
5–6 years of relevant experience in hospital operations, front office, patient relations, hospitality, or a similar healthcare environment.
Previous experience as MOD / Night Manager / Front Office Manager / Hospital Operations Executive will be preferred.
Graduate in any discipline; qualification in Hospital Management / Healthcare Management / Hospitality Management will be an advantage.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Good knowledge of hospital front-office processes and patient coordination.
Ability to independently handle situations and take appropriate decisions during the night shift.
Strong interpersonal, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working in a night-shift environment.
