JOB DESCRIPTION Position
BAMS Doctor – Women’s Health, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics & Weight Management
Key Responsibilities
Patient Consultation
Conduct consultations with patients visiting or connected through Ayustri.
Understand medical history, symptoms, lifestyle, dietary habits and health concerns.
Review patient questionnaires and available medical reports.
Identify cases requiring referral to an appropriate specialist.
Maintain professional, ethical and patient-centric communication.
Gynaecology & Women's Health
Handle initial consultations and wellness guidance relating to areas such as
Menstrual health
PCOS/PCOD-related lifestyle concerns
Women's nutritional needs
General hormonal-health concerns
Menopause and perimenopause wellness
Pregnancy-related wellness support within appropriate professional scope
General women's preventive healthcare
Note: Diagnosis, treatment and prescriptions must remain within the doctor's legal/professional scope and applicable regulations.
Weight Management
Conduct lifestyle and weight-management consultations.
Review dietary patterns, activity levels, sleep and lifestyle factors.
Develop personalized wellness and lifestyle recommendations.
Track patient progress and adherence.
Educate patients regarding sustainable weight-management practices.
Orthopaedics & Bone/Joint Health
Provide initial consultation and wellness guidance related to
Joint discomfort
Bone health
General musculoskeletal wellness
Lifestyle-related mobility concerns
Nutrition for bone and joint health
Cases requiring imaging, specialist intervention or advanced medical management should be appropriately referred.
Patient Follow-Up
Conduct scheduled follow-ups.
Track patient progress and feedback.
Maintain accurate consultation records.
Coordinate with the internal team regarding patient requirements.
Escalate clinically significant concerns to the appropriate senior/specialist.
Product & Wellness Guidance
Understand Ayustri's approved product portfolio and their intended use.
Provide product-related guidance only when clinically appropriate and within professional/regulatory boundaries.
Avoid unnecessary product recommendations or claims.
Ensure patients understand appropriate usage and precautions.

Required SkillsClinical Skills
Good understanding of Ayurvedic principles and clinical practice
Practical knowledge of women's health and gynaecological concerns
Knowledge of weight management and lifestyle counselling
Understanding of bone, joint and musculoskeletal health
Basic understanding of nutrition and preventive healthcare
Ability to recognize cases requiring specialist referral
Communication Skills
Excellent verbal communication
Empathetic patient interaction
Ability to explain medical concepts in simple language
Comfortable communicating in English and Hindi
Gujarati communication will be an advantage

Comfortable working in a structured office environment
Basic computer skills and familiarity with digital patient records
Preferred Candidate
We would prefer candidates who have
BAMS degree from a recognized institution
Registration with the applicable State Ayurvedic/medical regulatory authority
0–5 years of clinical experience
Exposure to Gynaecology/Women's Health
Experience in weight management or lifestyle counselling
Exposure to orthopaedics/bone & joint health
Experience in consultation-based healthcare
Strong interest in women's preventive and holistic healthcare
Fresh BAMS graduates with strong communication skills and relevant clinical internship exposure may also be considered.
