Safety Officer, Health and Safety Officer

Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by implementing health and safety practices, conducting inspections, promoting safety awareness, and ensuring compliance with company and statutory safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct routine site safety inspections and identify hazards.

Ensure compliance with HSE policies and safety regulations.

Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.

Monitor the use of PPE and safe work practices.

Report and investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses.

Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation.

Support emergency preparedness and safety audits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or Diploma in Industrial Safety is preferred.

Experience

0–2 years of experience in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) or a related safety role.

Skills

Basic knowledge of workplace safety and HSE regulations.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in MS Office.

Strong observation, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
