About SOMARA

SOMARA is a contemporary restrobar in Lucknow built around a World Cuisine concept, bringing together authentic and contemporary dishes inspired by different countries and culinary cultures.

We are looking for skilled and passionate Chef de Partie professionals to join our culinary team and deliver consistently high-quality food across different kitchen sections.

Job Responsibilities

Take responsibility for the assigned kitchen section and ensure smooth daily operations.

Prepare and cook dishes according to SOMARA's recipes, standards and specifications.

Maintain consistency in taste, texture, portion size and presentation.

Complete daily mise-en-place and ensure the section is fully prepared for service.

Follow recipes, preparation methods and plating standards accurately.

Work closely with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef during service.

Assist in developing and testing new dishes.

Maintain proper storage, labelling and handling of ingredients.

Monitor ingredient quality and report shortages or quality issues.

Minimise food wastage through proper preparation and portion control.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the assigned section.

Follow all food-safety and kitchen SOPs.

Assist in training Commis Chefs and junior kitchen staff.

Maintain discipline, organisation and cleanliness throughout service.

Support other kitchen sections whenever required.

Preferred Cuisine Experience

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following

Italian | French | Mediterranean | Mexican | Japanese | Korean | Thai | Vietnamese | Chinese | Indonesian | Malaysian | Middle Eastern | American | Continental | Modern Fusion

Candidates with specialist expertise in a particular cuisine or section are encouraged to apply.

Candidate Profile

3–7 years of relevant professional kitchen experience.

Previous experience as Chef de Partie / Demi Chef de Partie / Senior Commis in a premium restaurant, restrobar, luxury hotel or similar establishment.

Strong knowledge of the assigned cuisine or kitchen section.

Good understanding of professional kitchen operations.

Ability to follow standardised recipes and maintain consistency.

Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.

Ability to work efficiently during high-volume service.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Passion for food and willingness to learn international cuisines.

Culinary Arts / Hotel Management qualification preferred.

We are looking for hands-on chefs with genuine expertise in their respective cuisine or section.

Candidates who specialise in a particular international cuisine are especially encouraged to apply. The ability to maintain authenticity, consistency and presentation while working within a professional kitchen environment will be highly valued.
