Role Purpose
To support day-to-day logistics, dispatch and transportation operations, ensuring finished equipment and materials are dispatched safely, accurately and on time from the manufacturing plant to customers and project sites.
The position will coordinate with Production, Stores, Projects, QA/QC, Commercial, Accounts and Transporters for smooth execution of all dispatch activities.
Key Responsibilities
Dispatch & Logistics Operations
Plan and coordinate daily dispatches as per production completion and customer delivery schedules.
Arrange vehicles with approved transporters and ensure timely vehicle placement.
Coordinate loading, packing, lashing and dispatch of industrial equipment and materials.
Track vehicles and shipments until delivery at customer/project location.
Maintain dispatch and delivery records.
Transportation Coordination
Coordinate with transporters for vehicle availability, rates and placement.
Select suitable vehicles based on equipment size, weight, dimensions and transportation requirements.
Support ODC/oversized equipment transportation wherever applicable.
Coordinate route details and delivery requirements with transporters and project sites.
Follow up on delays, detention and delivery issues.

Ensure dispatch documentation is complete and accurate before vehicle movement.
Internal Coordination
Coordinate with Production and Planning for equipment readiness.
Coordinate with Stores for material availability and dispatch documentation.
Coordinate with QA/QC for inspection clearance before dispatch.
Coordinate with Projects/Customers regarding delivery schedules and site requirements.
Coordinate with Accounts/Commercial for billing and dispatch-related documentation.
Customer & Site Coordination
Follow up with customers/project sites regarding vehicle arrival and unloading arrangements.
Share vehicle and dispatch details with customers.
Obtain proof of delivery and close dispatch records.
Escalate any transportation damage, shortage or delivery delay immediately.
MIS & Reporting
Prepare daily/weekly dispatch and logistics reports.
Maintain records of pending dispatches, vehicle placement, freight and deliveries.
Update ERP/system entries related to dispatch and logistics.
Maintain transporter performance and freight records.
Candidate Profile
Qualification
Graduate / Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, Mechanical, Production or a related field.
Experience
2–6 years of experience in logistics, dispatch, transportation or commercial operations, preferably in a manufacturing/engineering environment.

Important Screening Criteria
- Mandatory
- Industrial/manufacturing logistics or dispatch experience.
- FRP/GRP experience
- Not mandatory.
Candidates handling dispatch of industrial equipment, machinery, tanks, vessels, fabricated equipment, structures or other project materials can be considered.
Ideal Candidate
A hands-on Logistics Executive who is comfortable working closely with the plant, stores, production and transporters, can arrange vehicles quickly, maintain accurate dispatch documentation and continuously follow up until the material reaches the customer/site.
