About the Role

SkillsNCR (www.skillsncr.com) is looking for a sharp, hardworking and highly dependable Founder’s Office Assistant who can help the founder with day-to-day execution.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who may never have worked professionally before, but is serious about learning how a company actually gets built.

We are not looking for someone with an impressive CV.

We are looking for someone who

works hard;

learns quickly;

listens carefully;

remembers instructions;

asks questions when unclear;

follows through;

is willing to figure things out;

and does not need to be chased repeatedly.

At an early-stage company, the work can change quickly.

One day you may be coordinating meetings.

The next day you may be calling a vendor, researching something online, updating a spreadsheet, visiting a location, helping organise an event, following up with candidates or customers, preparing documents or figuring out how to solve a completely new problem.

The common expectation is simple

Understand what needs to get done → figure out the next steps → execute → follow up → close the loop.

What You May Work On

Your work can include

managing the founder’s calendar and appointments;

scheduling meetings and sending reminders;

following up with people after meetings;

keeping track of tasks and deadlines;

maintaining documents, spreadsheets and records;

drafting basic emails, WhatsApp messages and documents;

conducting online research;

finding information, vendors, candidates or service providers;

making phone calls and coordinating with external people;

supporting recruitment coordination;

coordinating interviews and candidate follow-ups;

helping organise office activities;

supporting events and on-ground activities;

coordinating vendors and service providers;

obtaining quotations and comparing options;

maintaining lists, trackers and follow-up sheets;

helping prepare presentations or basic documents;

using AI tools such as ChatGPT to research, draft and organise work;

travelling locally within Gurgaon when business work requires it;

helping coordinate parents, students, teachers, candidates or partners;

carrying out administrative errands related to the business;

supporting whatever execution priority is important that day.

The role is deliberately broad.

However, tasks will be business-related, reasonable and professional. You will not be expected to magically know how to do everything. You will be expected to learn, ask, research and improve.

The Person We Want

We are particularly interested in someone who is early in their career and wants real exposure.

You may be a good fit if

this would be your first professional job;

you are a recent graduate or final-year student;

you feel you have not yet had the opportunity to prove yourself;

you are curious and willing to learn;

you are comfortable doing both desk work and on-ground work;

you are willing to take responsibility for small things before being given bigger things;

you can work independently after understanding an assignment;

you are comfortable with changing priorities;

you do not consider basic administrative or coordination work “below you”;

you enjoy figuring things out.

What Matters More Than Experience

We will assess you primarily on

Reliability

If you say you will do something, do you actually do it?

Learning Ability

Can you understand something new without needing it explained ten times?

Ownership

When something gets stuck, do you try to solve it or simply wait?

Attention to Detail

Can you remember names, dates, tasks, instructions and follow-ups?

Communication

Can you speak and write clearly in English and Hindi?

Resourcefulness

If you do not know something, can you research and find an answer?

Work Ethic

Are you prepared to work seriously rather than treating this as a casual internship?

Comfort With Ambiguity

Can you receive an outcome and figure out some of the steps yourself?

Example

You may be told

“We need five possible vendors for an event in Gurgaon by tomorrow.”

We do not want someone who responds

“Please send me the vendor names.”

We want someone who thinks

What exactly do we need?

Where can I find these vendors?

What information should I collect?

Should I call them?

What should I compare?

How should I present the options?

And then comes back with something useful.

What This Role Is NOT

This is probably not the right role for you if you want

a highly defined corporate job where you only perform one function;

someone to give you step-by-step instructions throughout the day;

a designation without responsibility;

a completely remote role;

fixed repetitive work only;

to say “this is not part of my job” every time the work changes.

At the same time, we do not expect you to work without clarity. If you do not understand an assignment, you should ask.

About SkillsNCR

SkillsNCR is a Gurgaon-first education and capability company.

We are currently building and validating our initial offerings across

SchoolReady — helping parents understand what is actually preventing a child from progressing before deciding what support is appropriate.

Graduate / WorkReady / JobReady — helping young people identify and address the capability gaps affecting their employability.

Our philosophy is

Diagnosis Before Prescription.

Understand the actual problem first. Then decide what to do.

We are still early-stage.

That means processes are being built, experiments are being run and priorities may change as we learn.

Someone joining now will see much more of how a company gets built than they would in a narrowly defined entry-level corporate role.

Compensation
