Warehouse / Godown Manager
Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and organized Warehouse / Godown Manager to manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, stock management, packing, and dispatch of goods.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily warehouse/godown operations.
Receive and verify incoming materials and goods.
Maintain proper storage and organization of stock.
Track stock inward and outward movements.
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks.
Ensure proper packing, loading, and dispatch of customer orders.
Coordinate with suppliers, customers, transporters, and internal teams.
Ensure the warehouse is clean, safe, and well organized.
Monitor stock levels and inform management about low-stock or damaged items.
Minimize stock damage, wastage, and inventory discrepancies.
Supervise warehouse helpers and loading/unloading workers.
Maintain basic documentation, bills, delivery challans, and stock registers.
Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of orders.
Report daily/weekly warehouse activities and stock status to management.
Requirements
2–5 years of experience in warehouse/godown management.
Good knowledge of inventory and stock management.
Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with Excel.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to manage warehouse workers and daily activities.
Should be responsible, punctual, and trustworthy.
Experience in agriculture products, food products, FMCG, or wholesale trading will be an advantage.
Knowledge of the Bangalore local transport network is preferred.
