Lead Video Editor (AI Video)
Apply only if you have all three: professional video editing experience, hands-on AI video experience (generating the clips and editing them into finished ads), and experience leading a team of video editors.
About us
Bright Life Creations is an independent video studio in West Delhi. We make AI-generated video for brands: realistic video ads, animation, songs and AI dramas, mostly for D2C and e-commerce brands in health and supplements.
We're a small in-house team, trained on our own production system.
Right now the founder reviews every video before it goes to a client. This hire takes that over.
The role
You'll lead our editing team and be the last check on every video before a client sees it.
You'll also keep editing. A few videos a week, fewer than the rest of the team, but enough that you stay sharp and the team can see how it's done.
The founder will train you personally on the system we use to generate and edit video. Once you know it, you teach it to the team. When something isn't clear, you take it to the founder and it gets settled.
What you'll do
Review every video
- Check each one before it goes out: the edit, the hook, pacing, on-screen text and subtitles, audio and sync, and whether it fits the client's brand.
- Send work back with notes an editor can act on. "Feels off" isn't a note. "Lip sync drifts at 0:04" is.
- Catch what AI video gets wrong, like hands that warp, a product that changes between shots, or text that melts, and fix it or show the editor how.
Lead the team
- Train the editors on our system and help them get faster.
- Notice when the same mistake keeps coming back, and write down how to stop it.
- Keep the work moving so nothing slips to the last day.
Make videos yourself
- Edit a few videos a week, including the harder ones.
- Write prompts that get realistic, usable results out of AI video and image tools, and fix the generations that come out wrong.
Make the work better over time
- Where a client shares their ad numbers, look at what's working and bring it back into how the team edits.
- Keep our editing checklists current.
What we need
- You've led a team of 4 to 9 video editors. More than three, fewer than ten. Our editing team is four people, and we want someone who has already run a team at least that size. Tell us how many you led, for how long, and where.
- You're a strong editor first. We'd rather hire an editor who can lead than a manager who used to edit.
- You think like a director. You can picture the finished video in your head, decide which scenes it needs and how each one should look, and then prompt it out with AI. This is more than editing.
- You're genuinely good at prompting AI video tools. You'll use this every day, in your own videos and when you fix the team's. You've used them hands-on to make realistic video, animation or songs, and you know how to fix a generation that comes out wrong.
- You've made video content for brands, with real client revisions.
- You can say exactly why a video isn't working, with timestamps.
Tools
You should have real hands-on experience with AI generation tools such as Seedance, Omni, Nano Banana, Seedream and Kling, and be comfortable picking up new ones as they come out.
For voice, music and finishing we use ElevenLabs, Suno AI, CapCut and Premiere Pro.
- Good to know
- Veo, Higgsfield and After Effects.
How you'll be measured
- The videos you make yourself: delivered on time, and how often they pass the founder's check the first time
- How often the team's videos pass review the first time
- How many revision rounds a video needs
- Turnaround from brief to delivery
- Where a client shares ad data: hook rate, retention and click-through on the ads your team makes
What this role is not
It isn't a senior editor job with a bigger title. You'll spend real time in other people's projects, giving feedback and teaching.
It isn't a pure management job either. If you want to stop editing, this won't suit you.
