Position: Interior Designer & Loose Furniture Designer The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of interior design, loose furniture, materials, finishes, detailing, and manufacturing processes, with the ability to convert design concepts into practical and commercially viable solutions. #Key Responsibilities

  • Understand client requirements, project briefs, design intent, and functional requirements.
  • Develop interior design concepts, furniture concepts, layouts, and design proposals.
  • Design and detail loose furniture including tables, chairs, sofas, lounge furniture, storage units, reception furniture, and other custom furniture requirements.
  • Prepare accurate 2D drawings, furniture layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed working drawings.
  • Prepare furniture specifications, material specifications, finish schedules, and BOQs.
  • Develop furniture designs considering aesthetics, functionality, ergonomics, manufacturability, and project budget.
  • Select and specify appropriate materials, finishes, hardware, fabrics, laminates, veneers, metals, glass, upholstery, etc.
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, vendors, and site teams to ensure design intent is maintained during execution.
  • Review shop drawings, samples, mock-ups, and prototypes and provide necessary design inputs.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Conduct site visits for measurements, design verification, and execution coordination as required.
  • Identify and resolve design, detailing, material, and execution-related issues.
  • Support the preparation of client presentations, quotations, and project documentation.
  • Ensure all drawings and design deliverables are accurate and issued within agreed timelines.
  • Maintain proper documentation and revision control of drawings and project information.
  • Ensure designs comply with project requirements, quality standards, and applicable specifications. # Required Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
  • Working knowledge of SketchUp / 3D modelling software preferred.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good understanding of furniture detailing and construction methods.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, hardware, and furniture manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, interior, and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of BOQ preparation and material estimation.
  • Understanding of site execution and installation processes. #Required Competencies

  • Ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Professional approach towards clients, vendors, and internal teams. #Qualification & Experience
  • Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Furniture Design, or a related discipline.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in interior design, furniture design, fit-out, or related industries.
  • Experience in commercial, corporate, hospitality, residential, or institutional projects will be an added advantage. # Key Performance Areas

The candidate should be capable of taking a design from the concept stage through detailed design, production coordination, and installation support.
