Key Responsibilities
Source, evaluate, and onboard transporters, fleet owners, warehouse providers, and 3PL vendors
Negotiate freight rates, contracts, and payment terms
Float RFQs, compare quotations, and prepare cost-benefit analyses
Raise purchase orders and ensure timely vendor deliveries and vehicle placement
Procure fleet-related items such as fuel, tyres, spares, and packaging material
Track vendor performance on cost, turnaround time, damages, and service levels
Verify vendor invoices and coordinate with accounts for timely payment
Maintain vendor database, rate cards, and procurement MIS
Ensure compliance with company policy, GST, and e-way bill regulations
