Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and hardworking Commis 3 – Continental to join our café team at Sandhu Garden, Chembur, Mumbai. The candidate will support the kitchen team in preparing high-quality breakfast and Continental café dishes while maintaining food safety, hygiene, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and cooking of Continental and café-style food.
Prepare morning breakfast items, including omelettes and other egg preparations.
Assist in preparing pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, salads, and other café dishes.
Follow standard recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines.
Complete basic mise en place and ensure ingredients are ready for service.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, workstations, and equipment.
Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Support senior chefs and the kitchen team during busy service periods.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of food items.
Minimize food wastage and maintain proper stock rotation.
Be flexible to work in different kitchen sections as required.
Candidate Profile
Previous experience in a café, restaurant, hotel, or QSR kitchen will be preferred.
Basic knowledge of Continental cuisine and café food preparation.
Knowledge of eggs, breakfast, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, and salads will be an advantage.
Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice periods are preferred.
