Quality Inspector
Job Responsibilities - Inspect components/materials in the Feeder Section as per approved drawings, specifications and quality standards. Perform incoming, in-process and final inspection as assigned. Check component dimensions using measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Gauges and other inspection tools. Identify defective, damaged, wrong or non-conforming components. Segregate OK and Rejected material properly and maintain identification/traceability. Record inspection results accurately in inspection reports and quality records. Verify first-piece/first-off samples before starting regular production, wherever applicable. Monitor quality during the production/feeder process and immediately report abnormalities. Ensure only approved material is moved to the next process. Coordinate with Production, Stores and Quality teams regarding quality issues. Raise rejection/NCR reports for non-conforming material as per company procedure. Support root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for recurring defects. Maintain inspection records, check sheets and daily quality reports. Ensure measuring instruments are properly handled and calibrated/valid. Follow company quality procedures, safety rules and 5S requirements. Support internal and customer audits when required. Required Skills- Knowledge of basic quality inspection methods. Ability to read basic engineering drawings and specifications. Knowledge of Vernier, Micrometer, Gauges and other measuring instruments. Basic knowledge of rejection, rework, re-inspection and traceability. Good observation and attention to detail. Basic computer/data-entry knowledge for quality records. Good communication and coordination skills. Qualification - ITI / Diploma in Mechanical preferred. B.E Mech/B.Tech Mech Experience- 1–3 years of experience in Quality Inspection / Production Quality / Feeder Section preferred.
