TANDOOR HELPER

Responsibilities of Tandoor Helper

• Mise en Place (Prep Work): Chop vegetables, peel onions, make ginger-garlic paste, and prepare skewers or marinades for meats, paneer, and breads under the chef's guidance.
• Station Setup: Organize the tandoor workspace, ensuring skewers, naan pads (gaddi), metal rods, and trays are clean and within reach before service.
• Tandoor Maintenance: Help light, heat, and clean the tandoor oven, and clear out ashes safely.
• Assisting Cooking: Hand items to the cook, monitor bread baking or grilling times, and retrieve finished items safely from the oven.
• Cleanliness and Hygiene: Wash utensils, wipe down counters, and keep the tandoor pit area sanitary according to hotel safety rules.
• Inventory Support: Check stock levels of flour, yogurt, spices, and skewers, and report shortages to the senior chef.
