Logistics Executive

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Executive to manage day-to-day logistics operations, coordinate timely dispatches and deliveries, negotiate with transporters, and drive logistics cost savings.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate timely dispatch of finished goods as per customer requirements and committed delivery schedules.

Coordinate with transporters, customers, warehouse and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Follow up regularly on shipments and resolve delays, transit issues and delivery-related concerns.

Obtain and compare transportation rates; negotiate with transporters/vendors to achieve competitive pricing and cost savings.

Analyse logistics costs, freight rates and transportation expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Maintain and evaluate transporter performance, rates and service levels.

Ensure proper documentation for dispatches, including invoices, e-way bills, LR/consignment notes and other required documents.

Track POD (Proof of Delivery) and ensure timely submission/collection of PODs from transporters and customers.

Maintain records of dispatches, deliveries, freight costs, pending PODs and outstanding shipments.

Prepare regular logistics cost analysis and MIS reports.

Coordinate with accounts for freight bills, verification of transporter invoices and discrepancy resolution.

Handle customer queries related to shipment status and delivery timelines.

Monitor loading, vehicle placement and dispatch readiness to avoid unnecessary detention or additional transportation costs.

Identify process gaps and continuously improve logistics efficiency and turnaround time.

Ensure compliance with company policies and logistics procedures.
