Billing Executive

Job Summary

The Aarogyasri Billing Executive is responsible for managing all billing and claim-related activities under the Aarogyasri Health Care Trust scheme. The role involves preparing and submitting accurate claims, coordinating with medical, nursing, and insurance teams, ensuring compliance with scheme guidelines, and facilitating timely claim approvals and reimbursements.

Key Responsibilities

Process and prepare billing for patients covered under the Aarogyasri Scheme.

Verify patient eligibility and required documentation as per Aarogyasri guidelines.

Prepare, review, and submit pre-authorization and final claim documents through the Aarogyasri portal.

Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, medical records, and diagnostic departments to collect complete clinical documentation.

Ensure accurate coding, billing, and documentation for all procedures and treatments.

Monitor the status of submitted claims and follow up for approvals, clarifications, and reimbursements.

Resolve claim rejections, deficiencies, and discrepancies in coordination with the Aarogyasri authorities and hospital departments.

Maintain accurate records of claims, approvals, payments, and pending cases.

Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on Aarogyasri billing and claim status.

Ensure compliance with Aarogyasri Health Care Trust guidelines, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements.

Assist patients and their attendants by providing information regarding billing procedures and scheme benefits.

Support internal and external audits by maintaining complete billing and claim documentation.

Perform other duties assigned by the Billing Manager or Hospital Administration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.

1–3 years of experience in hospital billing, preferably handling Aarogyasri or government health insurance schemes.

Knowledge of hospital billing procedures and medical documentation is preferred.

Required Skills

Knowledge of Aarogyasri billing procedures and claim processing.

Familiarity with the Aarogyasri online portal and claim submission process.

Understanding of hospital billing, medical terminology, and healthcare documentation.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Hospital Information Systems (HIS).

Strong analytical and documentation skills.

Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

Attention to detail and accuracy in claim preparation.

Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Pay

₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
