About this job

We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Technician to join our critical care/ICU team. The successful candidate will support doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in providing safe and efficient care to critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities

Assist doctors and nurses in the day-to-day management of ICU patients.

Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and report any abnormalities promptly.

Assist with patient monitoring equipment, ventilators, infusion pumps, and other critical care equipment.

Prepare and maintain ICU equipment, instruments, and emergency supplies.

Assist during emergency procedures and resuscitation when required.

Support patient positioning, transportation, hygiene, and basic patient-care activities.

Collect and handle patient samples as per hospital protocols.

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital protocols at all times.

Ensure the ICU is clean, organized, and adequately stocked.

Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.

Coordinate effectively with nurses, doctors, laboratory staff, and other departments.

Perform other duties assigned by the ICU in-charge or management.

Qualifications

Diploma/Certificate in Critical Care Technology, Emergency Care Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, or a relevant healthcare-related field.

Previous experience in an ICU, emergency department, or critical care setting is preferred.

Knowledge of basic life support and emergency procedures.

Familiarity with ICU monitoring and medical equipment.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to work rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
