Operation theater technician

• Prepare the Operation Theatre before scheduled procedures.
• Check OT equipment, instruments, surgical sets, and required consumables before surgery.
• Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff during surgical procedures.
• Arrange and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Ensure proper sterilization and availability of instruments and surgical sets.
• Follow aseptic and infection-control practices at all times.
• Assist with preparation of surgical trolleys and instrument tables.
• Handle surgical instruments safely and maintain proper instrument counts.
• Assist in specimen handling and ensure proper labeling and transfer to the laboratory.
• Maintain OT registers, checklists, sterilization records, and other required documentation.
• Check availability of emergency equipment and essential OT supplies.
• Assist with cleaning, disinfection, and preparation of the OT after procedures.
• Ensure proper segregation and disposal of biomedical waste as per hospital protocol.
• Coordinate with CSSD for sterilized instruments and surgical sets.
• Report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning instruments/equipment to the concerned department.
• Follow hospital policies, patient-safety procedures, and NABH requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Perform other OT-related duties assigned by the management.

Pay

₹10,151.16 - ₹26,479.61 per month
