Job Summary
Sona Star Innovation Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Cutting \& Stitching Master to independently manage a small tailoring/garment unit, including fabric cutting, stitching, production, customer requirements and sales operations.
The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of garment production and be capable of handling the complete process from fabric cutting to finished product and customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle fabric cutting, stitching and garment finishing.
- Take accurate measurements and ensure proper fitting.
- Prepare and follow cutting patterns according to garment requirements.
- Manage the complete production process from fabric to finished garments.
- Plan daily production and ensure timely completion of orders.
- Maintain quality standards and minimise fabric wastage.
- Supervise and coordinate tailors/helpers, if required.
- Maintain records of fabrics, accessories and finished products.
- Understand customer requirements and provide suitable suggestions on design, fitting and alterations.
- Handle customer interaction and shop sales.
- Maintain proper display and presentation of finished products.
- Maintain basic production, stock and sales records.
- Identify material requirements and coordinate with management for procurement.
- Ensure the tailoring and sales area is maintained in an organised manner.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in cutting and stitching.
- Strong practical knowledge of garment construction, measurements, patterns and finishing.
- Ability to independently manage a small tailoring/production unit.
- Good customer-handling and communication skills.
- Ability to handle both production and sales activities.
- Knowledge of production planning, inventory and basic costing will be an advantage.
- Should be responsible, punctual and capable of working independently.
- Experience in tailoring units, boutiques, garment shops or uniform production will be preferred.
