Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Java Developer with 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Java applications. The candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Core Java / Java 8+, backend development, and a good understanding of software development practices.

Experience with Playwright for UI automation and testing is required as a secondary skill. The role will involve approximately 80% Java development and 20% Playwright-based automation/testing.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java.

Develop clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code.

Work on backend services, APIs, business logic, and application components.

Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and performance bottlenecks.

Participate in code reviews and follow coding and development best practices.

Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA engineers, and other development teams.

Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.

Write unit and integration tests to ensure application quality.

Contribute to CI/CD and Agile development processes.

Develop and maintain automated UI test cases using Playwright.

Use Playwright to validate web application functionality and support regression testing.

Investigate and resolve automation failures in collaboration with QA and development teams.

Required Skills

5+ years of professional experience in Java development.

Strong knowledge of Core Java, Java 8/11/17+, OOP, collections, exception handling, multithreading, and Java fundamentals.

Strong experience with Spring / Spring Boot.

Good experience developing REST APIs and microservices.

Experience with SQL and relational databases.

Good understanding of design patterns and software development principles.

Experience with Git and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.

Hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation.

Good understanding of automated testing concepts.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

Experience with Microservices architecture.

Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging technologies.

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

Experience with JUnit/Mockito and API testing.

Familiarity with Selenium or other UI automation frameworks.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
