About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Textile Designer to join our design team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of textile design, prints, patterns, colour development and repeats, with an eye for contemporary designs suited to the international home furnishings market.

You will be responsible for developing original textile designs from concept to final artwork, working across prints, embroidery and decorative textiles.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop original designs for home furnishing and upholstery fabrics.
• Create florals, damasks, Jacobeans, geometrics, stripes, conversational motifs and abstract patterns.
• Develop design concepts, mood boards and colour stories for new collections.
• Create and modify repeat patterns according to required dimensions.
• Develop colourways and colour combinations suitable for the US and European markets.
• Prepare artwork for digital and screen printing.
• Work on embroidery designs and surface embellishment concepts.
• Adapt existing designs while maintaining the original design character.
• Create artwork for different scales, layouts and fabric applications.
• Coordinate with the design, sampling and production teams to ensure designs are technically feasible.
• Prepare production-ready artwork and colour separations.
• Research international textile, fashion and interior trends for design inspiration.
• Maintain an organised library of designs, artwork, colourways and references.
• Participate in collection development and contribute creative ideas for seasonal collections.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of textile prints, patterns and repeats.
• Excellent understanding of colour, scale, composition and placement.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop is essential.
• Knowledge of CorelDRAW and/or Illustrator will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Procreate is a plus.
• Understanding of textile printing techniques and fabric construction.
• Ability to create detailed and commercially viable designs.
• Good drawing and illustration skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines.
• Ability to develop designs independently from a concept or brief.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in home textiles, furnishing fabrics, upholstery, apparel textiles, surface pattern design or textile export companies will be preferred.

Experience working with international clients or export-oriented textile companies will be an added advantage.

Pay

₹35,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
