Logistics Executive

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Executive to manage day-to-day logistics operations, coordinate timely dispatches and deliveries, negotiate with transporters, and drive logistics cost savings.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate timely dispatch of finished goods as per customer requirements and committed delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with transporters, customers, warehouse and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery.
• Follow up regularly on shipments and resolve delays, transit issues and delivery-related concerns.
• Obtain and compare transportation rates; negotiate with transporters/vendors to achieve competitive pricing and cost savings.
• Analyse logistics costs, freight rates and transportation expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain and evaluate transporter performance, rates and service levels.
• Ensure proper documentation for dispatches, including invoices, e-way bills, LR/consignment notes and other required documents.
• Track POD (Proof of Delivery) and ensure timely submission/collection of PODs from transporters and customers.
• Maintain records of dispatches, deliveries, freight costs, pending PODs and outstanding shipments.
• Prepare regular logistics cost analysis and MIS reports.
• Coordinate with accounts for freight bills, verification of transporter invoices and discrepancy resolution.
• Handle customer queries related to shipment status and delivery timelines.
• Monitor loading, vehicle placement and dispatch readiness to avoid unnecessary detention or additional transportation costs.
• Identify process gaps and continuously improve logistics efficiency and turnaround time.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and logistics procedures.
