Staff Nurse - Ward and NICU Required \| 110-Bedded Hospital, Trichy

We are a 110-bedded hospital in Trichy with 42 years of trusted healthcare service. We are hiring experienced Staff Nurses for General Ward and NICU to join our caring and dedicated nursing team. Stable career, supportive team and good learning opportunities.

Roles and Responsibilities (Ward)

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to admitted patients
• Monitor vital signs and administer oral, IM and IV medications
• Assist doctors during rounds and ward procedures
• Perform dressing, catheterisation, Ryle's tube feeding and IV cannulation
• Prepare patients for investigations, surgery and discharge
• Educate patients and families on medication, diet and discharge care

Roles and Responsibilities (NICU)

• Provide specialised care for newborns, including preterm and low birth weight babies
• Monitor heart rate, SpO2, temperature and respiratory status of neonates
• Care for babies on incubators, radiant warmers, phototherapy, CPAP and ventilators
• Give neonatal feeding (tube / cup / breast feeding support) and administer medications and infusions accurately
• Assist doctors during neonatal resuscitation and procedures
• Support mothers with Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) and breastfeeding guidance
• Maintain strict asepsis and infection control in the NICU

Common Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation
• Follow infection control and patient safety protocols
• Handle medical equipment and ensure ward/unit readiness

Requirements

• B.Sc Nursing or GNM
• Valid Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council registration
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Staff Nurse, NICU experience preferred for NICU role
• Knowledge of neonatal care and equipment (for NICU)
• BLS certification (NRP / PALS is a plus)
• Good communication in Tamil and English
• Ready to work in rotational and night shifts
