Branch In-Charge – Job Responsibilities

• Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the branch.
• Coordinate vehicle placement, dispatch, loading, unloading, and delivery activities.
• Plan and monitor vehicle movements to ensure timely deliveries.
• Supervise drivers, helpers, transport staff, and branch operations teams.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, transporters, and other branch locations.
• Monitor vehicle availability, route planning, trip schedules, and utilization.
• Track shipments and ensure timely resolution of delivery-related issues.
• Maintain records of trips, vehicle documents, fuel, expenses, PODs, and other operational documents.
• Monitor vehicle breakdowns, delays, accidents, and other operational problems and take corrective action.
• Control branch expenses and monitor operational costs.
• Follow up on pending PODs, billing, collections, and customer requirements.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management.
• Handle customer complaints and ensure quick resolution.
• Identify operational issues and implement measures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure smooth coordination between the branch and head office.
