Security Guard Duties – Apartment / Residential Complex

• Main Gate Security
• Monitor all entry and exit points of the apartment.
• Verify residents, visitors, vendors, delivery personnel and service staff.
• Maintain proper entry and exit records.
• Control unauthorized entry into the premises.
• Visitor Management
• Record visitor details and confirm with residents before allowing entry.
• Issue visitor passes where applicable.
• Maintain records of regular vendors, drivers and domestic workers.
• Monitor visitor exit time.
• Vehicle Management
• Monitor vehicles entering and leaving the apartment.
• Check visitor and delivery vehicles as per apartment rules.
• Prevent unauthorized parking and report violations.
• Maintain visitor vehicle records.
• Patrolling
• Conduct regular rounds of the apartment premises, parking areas, common areas and boundary areas.
• Check for suspicious activities, unauthorized persons or security risks.
• Report any unusual incident immediately to the Security Supervisor/Association.
• CCTV Monitoring
• Monitor CCTV cameras where provided.
• Immediately report suspicious activity, equipment failure or unusual incidents.
• Maintain vigilance over sensitive areas such as gates, parking and common areas.
• Fire \& Emergency Response
• Respond immediately to fire alarms, accidents, medical emergencies and other incidents.
• Inform the concerned emergency services and apartment management when required.
• Assist residents during emergency evacuation.
• Keep emergency exits and access routes clear.
• Delivery \& Courier Management
• Monitor delivery personnel entering the premises.
• Direct delivery personnel to the appropriate building/tower or designated delivery area.
• Prevent unnecessary movement of delivery personnel inside restricted areas.
• Housekeeping \& Maintenance Staff Monitoring
• Verify entry of housekeeping, maintenance, plumbing, electrical and other service personnel.
• Maintain attendance/entry records where required.
• Ensure outside workers follow apartment security procedures.
• Night Security
• Maintain extra vigilance during night hours.
• Conduct scheduled night patrols.
• Check gates, parking areas, common areas and vulnerable locations.
• Immediately report suspicious persons, vehicles or activities.
• Incident Reporting
• Record accidents, thefts, disputes, unauthorized entry, property damage and other incidents.
• Inform the Security Supervisor/Facility Manager/Apartment Association immediately.
• Maintain a proper security logbook and handover register.
• Access Control
• Ensure restricted areas are accessed only by authorized persons.
• Monitor keys/access cards where applicable.
• Prevent unauthorized movement into service rooms, rooftops, electrical rooms and other restricted areas.
• Shift Handover
• Properly hand over all important information to the next security guard.
• Report pending issues, incidents, visitors, vehicles and special instructions.
• Maintain the security logbook accurately.

12-Hour Shift Responsibilities

Typical shift

12 hours per day as scheduled by the apartment/agency.

The guard should remain alert throughout the shift, perform gate duty + CCTV monitoring + regular patrolling + visitor/vehicle management + emergency response, and maintain all required registers.

Pay

₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
