About the Role

Lawrence English School is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Science Teachers to teach Science for students from Classes 7 to 10 as per the State Curriculum.

Both freshers and experienced candidates are welcome to apply. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Science, good communication skills and a genuine interest in teaching school students.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Science to students of Classes 7, 8, 9 and 10 as per the State Curriculum.
• Plan and deliver clear, engaging and age-appropriate lessons.
• Explain scientific concepts using practical examples, demonstrations and activities.
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments and other teaching materials.
• Conduct or assist with Science experiments and practical activities wherever applicable.
• Conduct class tests, assessments and examinations as required.
• Monitor students’ academic progress and provide individual guidance where required.
• Provide additional academic support to students who require assistance.
• Prepare Class 10 students effectively for their State Board examinations.
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
• Maintain lesson plans, assessment records and other academic documentation.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings when required.
• Coordinate with other teachers and school management.
• Participate in school academic activities and events as required.

Educational Qualification

• B.Sc. or equivalent Bachelor’s Degree in Science from a recognized institution.
• B.Ed. or relevant teacher-training qualification will be preferred.
• Candidates should have good subject knowledge relevant to the State Curriculum.

Experience

• Freshers: Candidates with a Science degree, good subject knowledge and a passion for teaching are welcome.
• Experienced: Previous teaching experience in a school, particularly for Classes 7–10, will be an advantage.
• Experience teaching the State Curriculum will be preferred.

• Strong knowledge of Science concepts.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and understandable manner.
• Good classroom management and student-handling skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students.
• Good lesson planning and time-management skills.
• Patience and a positive attitude towards students.
• Basic computer skills for preparing presentations, worksheets and assessments.

Working Hours

Part-Time: Teaching hours will be scheduled based on the school’s academic timetable and requirements. (Preferably morning session 8:30 am to 12:10 pm)

Salary/Remuneration

Based on qualification, teaching experience and number of classes/hours assigned.
