Job Description – Commis Chef (Continental) Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat Experience: Minimum 1 Year Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹25,000 per month Joining: Immediate joiners preferred Benefits: Food and Accommodation Provided Job Summary We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Commis Chef with at least 1 year of experience in Continental cuisine to support daily kitchen operations at our café. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in food preparation, maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene, and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare Continental dishes, pasta, sandwiches, salads, and breakfast items. Handle customer orders and ensure timely food preparation and service. Maintain consistent food quality, taste, portioning, and presentation. Follow kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards. Ensure proper storage, handling, and freshness of ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment and workstations. Coordinate with senior chefs and other kitchen team members. Minimize food wastage and follow kitchen operating procedures. Candidate Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in a café, restaurant, hotel, or Continental kitchen. Basic knowledge of Continental cuisine and food preparation techniques. Hands-on experience preparing pasta, sandwiches, salads, and breakfast items is preferred. Basic English communication skills. Knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and ingredient storage. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Willingness to relocate to or work in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
