Accountant – Retail Industry

Job Description

We are looking for an Accountant with 3–5 years of experience in the retail industry. The candidate should have experience in basic accounting, inventory/stock management and Tally.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily sales, purchase, payment and expense entries in Tally.
• Maintain sales and purchase bills and invoices.
• Maintain stock records and update stock inward and outward entries.
• Track stock movement and coordinate with the store team.
• Check physical stock against system records and assist with stock reconciliation.
• Maintain basic customer and supplier accounts.
• Handle cash and bank entries.
• Maintain accounting documents and stock records.

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of experience in the retail industry.
• Practical experience in both inventory/stock management and basic accounting.
• Working knowledge of Tally.
• Basic knowledge of sales, purchases and stock reconciliation.
• Basic MS Excel skills.

Candidates should be comfortable handling both inventory-related activities and routine accounting work..

₹25,000–₹30,000 per month, based on experience and suitability

Location Requirement

Only candidates currently residing in and around Triplicane, Chennai will be considered.
