Job Title: AI Video Editor / Generative AI Video Specialist Department: Creative / Marketing / Production Employment Type: Full-time Location: Remote Job Overview: We are seeking a talented and forward-thinking AI Video Editor to lead the next generation of video creation across our marketing and media channels. In this role, you will combine traditional post-production editing techniques with state-of-the-art Generative AI tools and workflow automation. You will be responsible for creating high-impact, engaging video content—ranging from short-form social reels and ad campaigns to long-form explainers—by leveraging AI for scripting, asset generation, voice synthesis, auto-captioning, and editing efficiency, without sacrificing narrative quality or brand integrity. Key Responsibilities1. Creative Editing & Post-ProductionAssemble, cut, and refine video content ensuring tight pacing, narrative flow, sound balance, and color consistency. Edit short-form content (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) and long-form videos (ads, brand videos, tutorials). Apply motion graphics, kinetic typography, lower thirds, and smooth visual transitions to enhance engagement. 2. AI Tool Integration & Prompt EngineeringUtilize generative AI video and image models (e.g., Runway, Pika, Midjourney, Google Veo/Flow, Sora, Stable Diffusion) to generate B-roll, visual assets, and dynamic effects from text/image prompts. Generate natural-sounding voiceovers and audio elements using AI voice synthesis platforms (e.g., ElevenLabs). Automate repetitive post-production tasks like transcript-based editing, silence removal, object tracking, background removal, and auto-captioning (e.g., Descript, CapCut, AutoCut). 3. Content Repurposing & ScalingTransform existing long-form assets (podcasts, webinars, interviews) into bite-sized, high-converting social clips using AI clipping tools. Re-frame, resize, and optimize videos for multi-channel distribution (16:9, 9:16, 1:1 ratios). 4. Workflow Optimization & Quality ControlEstablish efficient AI-assisted editing pipelines to increase output speed and reduce cost per asset. Perform quality control on AI-generated outputs, correcting visual artifacts, audio glitches, or unnatural lip-syncing. Maintain strict brand consistency, visual alignment, and editorial standards across all video deliverables. Qualifications & Requirements Experience: 2+ years of professional video editing experience, with a proven portfolio showing AI-assisted production work. Editing Software Mastery: Proficiency in industry-standard NLE software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or CapCut Pro. AI Tool Expertise: Direct experience using generative AI video/audio tools including, but not limited to: Video/Visual Generation: Runway ML, Pika, Midjourney, Luma Dream Machine, Topaz Video AI. Audio & Voice: ElevenLabs, Adobe Podcast, Descript. Automation/Captions: CapCut, Submagic, Opus Clip. Prompt Engineering: Demonstrated ability to craft precise text and image prompts to yield predictable, high-quality video clips. Storytelling & Pacing: Strong sense of narrative rhythm, visual aesthetics, sound design, and hook generation for social platforms. Technical Knowledge: Strong file organization, proxy management, aspect ratio optimization, and knowledge of video codecs and export settings. Preferred / Bonus SkillsExperience with basic Python scripting or automation APIs (e.g., FFmpeg, Zapier, Make) for bulk processing. Background in digital marketing, YouTube channel management, or performance advertising. Basic understanding of copyright and legal guidelines surrounding AI-generated commercial media.
