JOB DESCRIPTION

The Consultant will bring more than four years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on Microsoft Fabric. The role involves designing, developing, and supporting robust data pipelines and curated datasets while delivering scalable, efficient, and reliable solutions for data processing, integration, storage, and analytics

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, build, and maintain ETL and ELT pipelines using Microsoft Fabric Data Factory and related services; transform data and validate outputs to ensure reliable, high-quality processing.

Develop and manage Fabric Warehouse and Lakehouse objects, including tables, views, and stored procedures, to support secure, efficient, and accessible data solutions aligned with business requirements.

Apply a strong understanding of Lakehouse architecture and core Microsoft Fabric components to design scalable and maintainable data solutions.

Implement unit tests, reconcile record counts, and validate data across the Fabric data lifecycle to maintain accuracy, completeness, and integrity.

Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to design and implement scalable Microsoft Fabric solutions aligned with organizational objectives.

Optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval for performance and cost efficiency by applying cloud and Microsoft Fabric best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and professionally to both technical and business audiences.

Strong proficiency in SQL, hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Fabric pipelines, and working knowledge of PySpark for distributed data processing.

Working knowledge of Power BI concepts, including semantic models, data relationships, and reporting fundamentals.

Sound understanding of Microsoft Fabric architecture, workloads, and integration with related Azure data services.

Strong understanding of data modeling concepts for designing scalable, efficient, and analytics-ready data structures.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
