CLIENT OVERVIEW

Our client is a leading renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure advisory firm focused on enabling investments and strategic growth in the energy transition sector. The organization works with investors, developers, and corporate clients, providing expertise in project finance, mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, project development, power procurement, and strategic advisory services. The company is committed to accelerating sustainable growth and supporting the global transition toward clean energy solutions

JOB DESCRIPTION

This role provides remote engineering support for renewable generation electrical systems. The engineer reviews drawings and operating records, organizes evidence of compliance, supports outage preparation, and performs structured analysis for collection-system events and root cause investigations. Final engineering decisions, switching authority, field direction, and compliance ownership remain with the onshore team initially, but ideally this position will grow to take on increasing responsibilities over time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Review single-line diagrams, schematics, equipment drawings, relay records, test reports, and other electrical documentation.

Collect, organize, and quality-check technical records used as evidence of compliance.

Maintain evidence trackers, document indexes, equipment lists, action logs, and engineering records.

Identify missing, inconsistent, or outdated documents and coordinate follow-up with the responsible onshore engineer.

Support collection-system event and root cause analyses by assembling timelines, drawings, alarms, relay targets, work history, photographs, and test results.

Perform basic data review and structured comparisons under the direction of an onshore electrical engineer.

Prepare draft event summaries, issue lists, technical tables, and presentation materials for engineering review.

Support outage planning by reviewing work scopes, drawings, equipment information, open technical questions, and required documentation.

Track engineering actions before, during, and after planned or forced outages and maintain closeout records.

Update redline logs, drawing registers, equipment databases, and other controlled technical records.

Assist with reviews of consultant and contractor deliverables for completeness and consistency with the assigned scope.

Escalate potential safety, protection, equipment-rating, compliance, or system-reliability concerns to the designated onshore engineer.

QUALIFICATION

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, civil, materials, chemical, or a related engineering discipline.

Must have some previous job experience of 3+yrs preferably in Blade Engineering, if not, then in related discipline.

Basic knowledge of composite materials, wind turbine blades, structural damage, or inspection methods.

Ability to interpret photographs, inspection reports, drawings, and technical instructions.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, consistent records.

Clear written and spoken English and ability to summarize technical findings concisely.

Proficiency with spreadsheets, document management tools, and standard office software.

Ability to work independently and escalate questions promptly.

EXPERIENCE

Coursework, internship, or work experience involving composites, wind turbine blades, aircraft structures, or inspection data.

Familiarity with blade damage identification and severity categorization.

Experience reviewing repair records or supporting repair planning and closeout.

Experience with image-based inspection platforms, databases, or maintenance management systems.

SCOPE AND DECISION BOUNDARIES

No site travel, climbing, physical inspection, or hands-on repair work is required.

The analyst does not independently approve repairs, return equipment to service, establish engineering limits, or make final risk decisions.

All unusual, high-severity, uncertain, or safety-related findings must be escalated to the designated onshore engineer.

Work is performed using approved procedures, templates, damage categories, and review criteria.

We are an equal opportunity employer. All qualified individuals will receive consideration for employment without regard to race; color; age; sex; sexual orientation; gender identity; religion; national origin; disability; veteran status; genetic information; or any other criteria protected by governing law.
