CNC Programmer cum Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines as per production plan.
• Set jobs on CNC machines using proper tools, fixtures, and offsets.
• Read and understand engineering drawings and dimensions.
• Load and unload components properly.
• Set tool offsets, work offsets, and basic machine parameters.
• Check first-piece and in-process dimensions using measuring instruments.
• Make minor program/offset corrections as required.
• Maintain required production quantity and quality.
• Identify machine, tool, or process-related problems and inform the supervisor.
• Ensure proper tool selection and tool condition.
• Maintain 5S and cleanliness around the machine.
• Follow all safety rules and PPE requirements.
• Complete production and inspection records as required.
• Perform basic machine cleaning and daily maintenance activities.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of CNC machine operation and setting.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, etc.
• Knowledge of tool setting and offset correction.
• Basic understanding of CNC programs/G-code.
• Ability to identify common machining and quality problems.
• Basic knowledge of 5S and safety.

Qualification \& Experience

• Qualification: ITI / Diploma – Mechanical or relevant trade.
• Experience: 2–5 years in CNC machine operation and setting preferred.
• Experience in valve, engineering, or precision component manufacturing will be an advantage.

Pay

₹15,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
