VMC Machine Operator

VMC Operator Responsibilities (Siemens Controller)

• Operate VMC machine using Siemens CNC controller.

• Load and verify CNC programs before machining.

• Set work offsets and tool offsets correctly.

• Clamp job properly and ensure safe machine setup.

• Check drawing, process sheet, and machining requirements before starting work.

• Inspect first-off component dimensions and maintain quality during production.

• Monitor tool wear and replace tools when required.

• Record production quantity, rejection, and machine downtime.

• Maintain coolant level and machine cleanliness.

• Follow all safety procedures and use PPE.

• Report machine alarms, breakdowns, or quality issues to the supervisor immediately.

• Perform basic daily maintenance as per machine checklist.

• Ensure proper handling and storage of finished components.

• Maintain 5S and housekeeping around the machine.

Note: Operator should have knowledge of Siemens CNC control operation, program loading, offset setting, alarm handling, and basic troubleshooting.

Required Skills

• Reading engineering drawings and GD\&T basics.

Use of Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge

• Understanding of tolerance limits and surface finish requirements.

• Basic Siemens Controller offset verification and correction

Pay

₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
