Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment
• Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code
• Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears
• Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs
• Run computer cables, connect computer jacks and plugs and test for adequate operation
• Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and industrial equipment.
• Experience in troubleshooting electrical circuits and control panels.
• Knowledge of motors, drives, sensors, relays, and electrical components.
• Basic knowledge of PLC and automation systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of safety practices and electrical standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure quick resolution to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and monitor electrical panels, motors, transformers, control panels, and machines.
• Handle installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Ensure proper functioning of PLC panels, VFDs, sensors, and automation systems.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
• Coordinate with production teams to support uninterrupted operations.
• Follow electrical safety standards and company safety procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential electrical issues.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.
• Support energy-saving initiatives and improve equipment efficiency.
