Job Description: Lab Assistant / Sample Processing Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and handle specimens as per defined SOPs.
• Assist in sample processing according to established procedures.
• Store samples appropriately to maintain sample integrity.
• Arrange and label samples for easy identification and traceability.
• Dispose of expired or old samples as per SOPs.
• Maintain and file departmental documents and records.
• Read and follow laboratory manuals and SOPs.
• Communicate critical values to the Section Head or Pathologist.
• Follow departmental safety guidelines and laboratory protocols.
• Ensure proper biomedical waste segregation and disposal.
• Perform any other duties assigned by seniors.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and sample handling.
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Ability to follow SOPs and safety protocols.
• Freshers and experienced candidates can apply.
