Purchasing Manager

I. Procurement Timelines

• Track PR-to-PO cycles to ensure timely processing and vendor adherence to delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Planning, Stores, Production, and other departments to prioritize critical orders and avoid material shortages.
• Monitor pending POs and critical deliveries to ensure timely material availability.

II. Negotiation & Cost Management

• Lead commercial discussions and negotiations for large, bulk, and critical purchase requirements.
• Maintain vendor benchmarks, price history, and quotation comparisons to achieve competitive pricing and favourable commercial terms.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization while maintaining required quality and delivery standards.

III. Purchase Order (PO) Quality Control

• Review and validate POs for technical accuracy, commercial terms, quantities, delivery schedules, and approval hierarchy.
• Ensure all entries in SAP/FMS are accurate, complete, and aligned with Finance, Stores, and internal procurement requirements.
• Maintain proper purchase documentation, records, and transaction traceability.

IV. Vendor Network Expansion & Management

• Identify and develop new vendors to bridge technical, cost, quality, capacity, or lead-time gaps.
• Facilitate vendor evaluation, qualification, and trial PO processes.
• Monitor vendor performance and coordinate corrective actions for quality, delivery, and commercial issues.

V. Team Oversight & Support

• Guide junior buyers and procurement executives in day-to-day procurement activities, vendor follow-ups, and documentation.
• Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to procurement processes and timelines.
• Participate in performance reviews, knowledge-sharing, and internal procurement training initiatives.

VI. Audit, Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure accuracy and ownership in procurement documentation, follow-ups, vendor communication, and SAP records.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, SOPs, approval procedures, and applicable statutory requirements.
• Support and coordinate during SAP, Internal, Statutory, and ISO audits, ensuring required records are available and audit observations are addressed within timelines.
• Prepare and monitor procurement MIS covering PR-to-PO status, open POs, pending deliveries, vendor performance, and cost-related information.

Represent the Purchase Department in interdepartmental planning, coordination, and review forums.

Pay

₹20,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
